Specialised Protective Coating Systems

Refurbishment of the aged concrete floors included the total steam cleaning of each floor level, followed by a fine orbital grinding process using full dust extraction equipment. Using Specialised Protective Coatings System by Altex Coatings Altra-Shield 2000 high performance, multi-purpose high build epoxy coating was specified as the primer/intermediate coat for these particular floors.

The preferred finish coat was E-Line 379, a high gloss, high performance, two component, chemically cured aliphatic urethane designed for use where maximum gloss and colour retention are required.
